A european gateway for students at the University of Messina with EYE

Erasmus for young entrepreneurs: opportunities for international mobility and professional growth for students and young entrepreneurs.

May 2025

On May 7, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, Room 9 of the Department of Economics at the University of Messina will host the event “Erasmus for Entrepreneurs: Opportunities for International Mobility and Professional Growth for Students and Young Entrepreneurs.”

The event will open with institutional greetings from Professor Gustavo Barresi, Director of the Department, along with faculty members responsible for student guidance, internships, and internationalization. This will be followed by a presentation from Matteo Solivo, Head of the Europe Area at Microfinanza, who will introduce the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme.

Funded by the European Commission, this programme promotes skill-sharing between aspiring entrepreneurs and experienced business owners across participating countries. It offers a tangible opportunity for both personal and professional development through cross-border collaboration. Participants can spend one to six months abroad working with a host enterprise, with financial support provided to cover travel and living expenses.

Since 2018, Microfinanza has served as an intermediary organization and local contact point for the programme, providing tailored support throughout the registration and participation process. This is a unique chance for future entrepreneurs to launch their business ideas, engage with new markets, and build an international network—across over 40 EU countries and beyond.
