Our paper “Measuring microfinance impact” has been published
Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce that our team published a new working paper: “Measuring microfinance impact: A practitioner perspective and working methodology”. This paper was written in the framework of the project “Measuring Microfinance Impact in the EU. Policy recommendations for Financial and Social Inclusion” (MeMI), supervised by the EIF and funded by the EIB Institute under the EIB-University Sponsorship Programme (EIBURS).
The aim of this project is to contribute to the debate whether microfinance is able to deliver the expected impact in terms of financial and social inclusion. The paper introduces an analytical approach to impact measurement, which relies on indicators regarding the economic, social and environmental dimensions.
